Endless grinding for rare and powerful items in Diablo III was a very marmite-like affair; exciting for some, but the very definition of tedium for others. Reaper of Souls mixes up the endgame with randomly generated areas and a more incremental difficulty system, but the fact remains that killing monsters ad nauseum in the hope they'll drop something shiny is really all there is to do. It's intense fun while it lasts, but you'll move onto pastures anew pretty quickly after the credits roll, unless you're one of the few that gets hooked on 'Reaper's fantasy trinket lottery.
